Cape Town and Tswalu Safari

Days 1, 2 and 3 - Tswalu Private Game Reserve
Your safari experience to South Africa starts from Johannesburg Airport with a direct flight into Tswalu, one of the largest privately owned game reserves in Africa. Situated in the arid Kalahari Desert, Tswalu is a success story where conservation efforts are working. Originally a desolate arid region, void of any wildlife, Tswalu turned things around by introducing game like rhino, lion, cheetah, wild dog and general game. With over 130,000 Hectares to explore, you are guaranteed peace, solitude and privacy whilst on your game drives, bush walks or horse-riding safaris. Tswalu is one of the best places in Africa to see some of the more elusive desert adapted animals like aardvark, meerkats and pangolins. They have a habituated colony of meerkats that guests can see in the mornings as they start to forage through the dunes of the Kalahari. A must do experience at Tswalu is their desert sleepout. Spending the night under a million stars and waking to your own private Kalahari sunrise is priceless and something you will remember as a highlight of your African safari.
Days 4, 5, 6 and 7 - Cape Town
From Tswalu you fly direct to Cape Town. Cape Town is one of the most scenically beautiful cities in the world, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and crossed by mountains, it really does have it all. Stanley Safaris has partnered with some of the best guides in the city so you can spend your days exploring Cape Town and surrounding winelands in a unique way, specifically tailored to your interests. Whether you are interested in the arts, the history of South Africa, the vibrant food scene, being active or simply wanting to explore a variety of wine farms and sample the incredible wines, we can make that all happen. Cape Town is our home, this what we live and breathe each day, so we know the secret little spots away from the crowds.
Days 8 and 9 - Cape Winelands
Just a short distance from Cape Town is the Cape Winelands, home to some of the best wine estates in the world. Spend your day exploring the winelands with your guide, tasting some of the best wines along the way. Meet the winemakers and enjoy the hospitality in this beautiful past of South Africa. This is the perfect way to end your safari holiday in South Africa.
